She is extremely frank about why she is debating.  "I do not like to debate, but I will because my father wants me to.  I think that I should and will put all my effort into it and I may regret the moment.  I don't accept this opportunity to learn new things and perhaps discover a gift that I did not know I had.  But I won't reject this opportunity either."
